Approval has been granted for the redevelopment of a Grade II listed Sheffield city centre bank. Insider Media reports that the former bank on George Street falls within the Sheffield City Centre Conservation area, but planning permission has been given to convert into a multi-use building.

Planning permission had been granted for a huge new water sports and leisure park in Preston. The Manchester Evening News reports that the development will be close to Preston Marina and the banks of the River Ribble, on the site of the existing Trax Motor Centre.

The town of Bolton in Greater Manchester is undergoing a £35m regeneration scheme that will transform the town centre. The Manchester Evening News (MEN) reports that the Central Street Project will create a new neighbourhood of homes that will be available for long term rent. New leisure facilities and public spaces will also be created.

Manchester’s six biggest railway stations will be at the heart of a new regeneration scheme in the city after a new partnership was announced. Building Design reports that Network Rail and Transport for Greater Manchester have agreed to work together to bring new infrastructure, housing and commercial developments to the selected areas.
