A reserved matters planning application has been submitted for a new government hub as part of the York Central development. The scheme would see the construction of a six-storey building with flexible office space and ground floor retail and storage space, Insider Media reports.
The ambitious York Central project has taken a step further as Arlington Real Estate and McLaren Property have been named as the preferred developers. Insider Media reports that the 45-acre site is a joint venture between Homes England, Network Rail, the City of York Council, and the National Railway Museum.
Plans have been approved to redevelop Neptune Mill in Piccadilly East, Central Manchester. The Grade II listed building will be renovated by the developers Capital & Centric, who are behind several other recent developments in the city, Place NorthWest reports.
The proposed redevelopment of St Helens town centre in Merseyside has reached the next stage with the submission of a reserved matters planning application. Insider Media reports that phase one of the redevelopment will see an aged shopping centre replaced with new buildings and aesthetically pleasing public areas.
Plans have been launched to regenerate the Hotspur Press area of Central Manchester. Insider Media reports that the scheme has been proposed by the Manner Group, who have extensive experience of inner city redevelopment. The plans could see a new student residential area with a public square.
